Try to do something every day. Usually mid day. One thing I noted is that when I was working I would spend a great deal of time in the shop, now that I am retired I don know where the time goes? Takes a week to do what I used to do in an evening.

So I spend about 16 hours a week working on the lathe. Now... if it snows or something else comes up, it cuts into that time.

Let's see... you live in Alaska... it snows ALOT in Alaska and if it snows you might not get into your shop.

By my "expert" calculations... that leaves you with about an hour a week. Shocked

I hope to get in there today for about 3 hours or so till my knees give out.

In the winter when i'm slow in the store, i might get out there for about 6 hrs or so a week... more or less depending on the above mentioned problem.

In the summer when I'm REALLY busy in the store, it might be a couple hours every couple weeks.

Looking forward to selling the store and retiring. Will have to keep it running till the house mortgage is paid off... about another 3 yrs. Thumbs Up

I will not work out in shop when tired, so seldom go out during the week. Lately have been working on re-building my Dad's gun cabinet that he made when I was around 8. If we could have warm and sunny days on the week ends, will take another 3 weeks before it goes into the house. Our tree that was in front of the house was cut down last Fall and I got all the wood that was larger than 12 inches. about a cord worth. (that's a Northern cord). So I need to get out there more often.

A cord is a cord... 4x4x8 ft. A FACE cord is different, tho. That is 4'x 8' x 2'.. I think. Seems like a scam cord to me.
