It started out life as a Harbot Freight single stage 2hp dust collector but after getting tired of moving hoses from tool to tool I decided it was time to “reengineer” the system.

I added a super dust deputy on top of a 55 gallon poly drum and vented the blower through the wall to the atmosphere so no filters required. Nearest neighbor is about 1/2 mile away so no noise issues either, it it also much much quieter in the shop now. I ran 4” pvc for the trunk lines and will do the drops with either 2 1/2” or 4” flex depending on what the tool requires once ups gets here. Each tool has its own blast gate that will be installed in close proximity to the tool. Just doing a quick test covering all but 1 4” port with caps suction is excellent. Here is where I am at so far

I like it.  I'm using the same collector and may need to look at setting something like this up.

I have one question
If you're exhausting directly outside, why use a separator and all the flex hose?

Flex hose was just easier, as far as the separator the wasp around here build a nest in anything so to keep them out of the exhaust hose or impeller I screened the exhaust port. I also save the shavings for a friends rescue kennel.
