I have a stronghold and cored and 18" maple blank and experienced no issues with it. I don't own a Vicmarc.....yet

Posts: 2,659 Cincinnati, Ohio Ohio USA Gender:	Re: Witch Oneway chuck Reply #3 - Jul 15^th, 2018 at 2:27pm For at least 5 years I've been using a Vicmarc intermediate chuck (120?) on bowls from 5" diameter to 20" diameter and have been pleased as punch. The dovetail jaws do a great job holding tenons. Your post ended with ". . . or another suggestion."

I think the Vicmarc is the better chuck and the one I’ll buy should I need another chuck.
