Which Oneway chuck would be best for a Laguna 18x36 2 hp. lathe, Talon or Stronghold or another suggestion.

Not much price difference between the Vic and the Stronghold (CSUSA site). I have a stronghold and cored and 18" maple blank and experienced no issues with it. I don't own a Vicmarc.....yet

For at least 5 years I've been using a Vicmarc intermediate chuck (120?) on bowls from 5" diameter to 20" diameter and have been pleased as punch.  The dovetail jaws do a great job holding tenons.  Your post ended with ". . . or another suggestion."

I’ve own both  the stronghold and the Vicmarc 120 and each have their own merits. I think the Vicmarc is the better chuck and the one I’ll buy should I need another chuck.
