This may be like asking those with children which one is their favorite but what's your favorite piece?
There are lots of ways to come to the decision of "favorite". Your favorite may be the first one where you mastered a technique, a stunning grain pattern is displayed, the piece has a flawless finish or a piece that has won awards or accolades of some type.
It doesn't matter why it's you favorite, only that it is but I'm sure there's a story behind it.

QOTW
What turned piece to date has been your favorite and why?

I guess no one has a favorite or at least won't admit it  Undecided
I would have to say my favorite is still Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register
I liked it when I made it (one of my first segmented pieces) and it has been pretty well received to this point despite the minor imperfections in it. Nine years on and there aren't too many similar to it even with the advent of home CNC machines.
It's been my favorite for this long and will probably remain so, thanks for looking, now it's your turn.

I find that favorites are kind of like mistakes.  After a time you forget about them.  Even forget where they are.

I don't know if I really have a favourite since all of mine could really be improved upon, but in keeping with the spirit of the question, I'll throw this one out as one that I like.
ps. I love yours, Ed.

I think everyone feels their own work can be improved upon, it the nature of an artist I suppose.
