Being electrostatic, there is no filter rating (X number of microns). Since you vacuum the element to clean it, you had better have a good filter on your shop vac. After 3000 hours, you need to replace the filter, no idea what that will cost, I could not find it.
JMO but $700 is a little bit spendy for what you get
Now don't get me wrong, air quality is important but you need to decide for yourself how to achieve it.

The filter screen can be vacuumed out, and the long life (3,000 operating hours) filter can be replaced (sold separately, item #164549).

long life??? if you run it 24 hours a day, you only get 125 days or ~4 months of continuous use. as a side note, #164549 is listed either as a band saw blade or a drill press. somehow, I expected better from WoodCraft.

I did too
It also seems that this may be a Woodcraft Exclusive (at least for now)
I had no results on an internet search and not listed at the PM site???
