Lost wood turning #2

This is my 2ND attempt at lost wood turning. This turn is technically much better. I figured my mistakes and fixed them. I did get a good grain match on both halves. It is again purple heart. The turn is about 6" high, 2 3/4" wide, and about 1" wide. The finish is just several coats of diluted shellac and buffed.
I look forward to your feedback and helpful comments.

Old Delta 12" 46-701 in great condition. Had it about 20+ years and turned 1 part.

Hi George, the whole thing is in 3 pieces. The unit is turned to the desired shape. Then the center section is discarded. I first saw it demonstrated on you tube.  There are several good videos there. The one that I like the best is " Split turned goblet: Charles Sheaff."
