After three tries its finally done. By the far the most difficult design I have tried. its not all symmetrical but I just couldn't through away a third one.It is a lot better than the first two
The base was bigger at the start but I had a catch parting it off
it is 18" high x 11" in diameter x 3/8 wall. There are 552 pieces plus the feature ring. The woods are Maple Walnut Wenge and the head is Ebony
Tanks for looking

Very nice job. I thought I was the only one that tossed stuff in the fire pit that did not suit me.

I just don't see how you guys do it. Maybe one of these days I will be able to do something like that. It makes me tired just looking at it because of all the work you put into it. I am looking forward to your next post. Thanks, Don.

Marc I used a tutorial i found and a program called lamination pro. I would recommend trying it with some cheap lumber to start. Precision cutting and gluing are critical. I found that rigging up some sort of laser for my table saw helped

Nice job. Lamination Pro helps in the bird design.  Hard part is the cutting.
