I would never use one of those worm drive screws into end grain. Fine in bowl/side grain, but in end grain, they tear out. Standard for framing houses, when nailing into end grain, you always toe nail/angel your nails. Turn between centers and put a tenon on one end, then grab that in your chuck. Very secure.

Not sure why this is not in the video section here...

If that was green wood, are you expecting shrinkage cracks as it dries?

I finally looked up the meaning of "drechseln".    It means "woodturning".    I suppose I could have guessed that. Smiley

As a novice woodturner, I would have liked to have seen how you finish turned the top and bottom of the vase.    That's always a tricky part for me.   Other than that, it's a nice looking vase.

Regarding the suggestion for a narrative, I think that the language difference would be a problem.    I'm sure that the video is intended for an international audience.
