Hello from the Virginia Mountains

Looks like a great place to learn and share! I am a retired shop teacher (38 years) and have been turning with a passion for 4 years. I turn bowls but am enjoying the challenge of hollow forms. I am a traditional turner but am leaning towards the creative side of turning! I am a member of the Blue Ridge Woodturners Club and the AAW. Take care and turn safe.

Good morning Thomas and welcome.
This is a great forum with many people available and willing to help.

Where are you in Virginia. I also live in the Blue Ridge area (Smith Mountain Lake, Franklin County).
If your close by, maybe we could meet and do lunch???

Dick

Hello Chester,
I used to be a member of that club, and yes, they are a great bunch of guys. I didn't join last year because I was just too busy. We had just moved up here from FL. and my honeydoo list pretty much took care of all my free time.
I'm pretty much caught up on all my to do projects so I will be joining the club again.

If you remember where the club has it's meetings, you go right by my shop about 1 mile up the road.

Send me a pm if you would like to get together.
