Some time ago I came to the conclusion that for my type of work a midi was too small and for some work, my PM 3520 was too big. being able to move it around was also important. I got used to a sliding headstock, so when Powermatic came up with a mini-version of the 3520, the PM 2014, I decided to reward myself for being stuck in a nonCovid bubble for the last 6 months. Hopefully the positives will exceed the negatives with this model - I don't care for the stand yet - a bit light for really asymmetric loads, but if sandbagging doesn' work out, I have a really heavy duty mobile lathe bench that will. So far, it's a very nice lathe. Or maybe I've imprinted on the PM design . . . .

I saw one of those at Rockler. It looks like a really nice lathe.
