Here is a link to a video someone brought up on another forum. It was suggested I post it here for those who, for some reason I can't fathom, might benefit from viewing it.

After watching the video, my first impression was, "where the heck is the guard, is he insane"
Now I know we all have tools that the guards can be either temporarily or permanently removed for various reasons without increasing the safety issue too much.
Having said that, having an exposed running bandsaw blade only inches away from the power switch is NOT an acceptable level of safety IMHO
There is no good reason this accident should have ever happened. One can only guess at why.
If anyone needs to know how to install a blade guard on a 14" asain import BS with riser block, I can help you.
