Globes, wooden balls, whatever you want to call them.  I got on a kick and made a bunch of them, first to try it and then because it was fun.   I'm going to put them in my inventory, but haven't a clue for pricing.  I've considered the height x width x 2.5 (or 3) which would be over $20 for a 3 inch sphere.

Any suggestions?   THanks!

The first one?  FOREVER!  LOL  As I remember I'm thinking 30-60 minutes?  It's been a while.  I wasn't using a jig but between centers.  I also wasn't rushing them.

The first one may take hours. By the time you have done 100 or more, time should be 10 minutes or so. I would price more on the wood than on the time, especially since figured wood will more often sell the piece rather than just a plain piece of wood. $20 for a 3 inch piece is a fair price, maybe a bit low. You can always give 'discounts'.....

IMHO, you should always look at the wood first.
If two spheres are the same in every other way, the one with the more attractive grain warrants the higher price.
Example:
Out of ALL the maples available, only about 5% is curly and only about 1% is birds eye.
That's why they cost more because they are so rare. This is why they demand a higher price.
