Seriously flawed book on turning

Amazon is listing a book on woodturning called Woodturning for Beginners Handbook by Stephen Fleming.  Barnes and Noble appear to also list the book.

The image on the over shows a woodturner standing at a lathe with the headstock to his right; the image is obviously reversed right-to-left.  A number of the illustrations inside the book are also reversed.  In some cases, the reversal is obvious, but in others its not clear whether the images are correct or not.

This is seriously flawed editing, and potentially quite dangerous.

Tried to come up with something to say but all I can do is shake my head.  Hopefully there won't be a lot of sales.

I've seen this horizontal flipping of photos on many woodworking sites. I have also contacted many of them and let them know. Most of them resolved the issue, some did not.
I don't know where you would go about pointing out the obvious issue and potential safety hazard in this book.
Really quite pathetic IMO

Some of the reviews are pretty scathing

After seeing Ron's note on bad Amazon reviews I looked at reviews of several other of his works. There is a definite pattern.

If you read this guy's bio, (it's on Amazon) it becomes perfectly clear.

"Other than Technology, I am into Leather and Wood Crafting for the last five years. It is a perfect hobby for my weekends, and I have been enjoying crafting beautiful gifts for my family and friends."

A part-time weekend hobby woodworker for only 5 years and he thinks he knows enough to teach others through his self-published books.
Someone is pretty full of themselves or simply doesn't know how much he doesn't know.

Ed, I would say he knows just enough to think he knows what he is doing, but not enough to realize he is clueless....

There is a medical condition known as The Dunning-Kruger effect, which has become more and more prevalent these days. Everyone who has access to the internet thinks, because they can look up an answer, they're a genius.

It's pathetic IMO
