Help with outboard turning
Mar 6th, 2023 at 2:50pm

Last year I inherited a General 260,12 inch swing over bed with 16 inch swing when bed section removed. The lathe also has outboard facility up to 20inch,spindle on the yardstick read is left handed thread (no reverse function ).with the lathe came various pieces of which was a cooler that housed the wormscrew, coller is L/H thread but wormscrew R/H thread,is it possible to get a L/H wormscrew or L/H faceplate/Chuck.Any advice would be appreciated.Thanks.

Yes Oneway does sell both RH and LH jumbo screws and in two lengths

Most all chucks have the option of interchangeable thread inserts. You can get whatever you need, it's not a big deal.
