Description}: Here are 8 owl hooters I finished today. Owl hooters are used to locaate turkey gobblers during spring season. From l to r the woods are: purpleheart, cocobolo, bocote,olivewood, bocote. purpleheart, marblewood and purpleheart.

New Stuff- Crow Calls

Description}: I have been interested in turning some other calls such as predator, deer, owl and crow calls. My first project has been with crow calls and I have a picture of 5 completed ones. I still have some work to do with the turning and these are kinda plain looking but do sound good. They are from l-r maple, walnut, mahogany, purpleheart and cherry.

Description}: Glass is not the only calling surface I use in my calls. The one in the middle is made from Spalted Sycamore and the other two are Birdseye Maple.

Description}: Some have asked that I show some of the calls from the pictures I posted yesterday after I assembled them and here are four of them. I hope you like them. I am making these calls for a couple shows I will be doing later in the year. The woods these calls are set in are from left to right - Spalted Sycamore, Canary, Sycamore and Honey Locust.

Description}: I have been busy turning pots for friction calls and would like your opinion on these. There are 11 in this picture and I have 6 more that the finish is still drying. The Ambrosia Maple Pot(Center Top) is sold to a young man and it has his picture in it with his first turkey. The striker goes with that call.
