Vase was bleached twice then sealed with a light rose paint. Sanded to 6 hundrec before buffing with white diamond and wax. The inside of the vase is dyed with a crimson dye. The neck was carved to remove a crack. The dye was allow to bleed through the crack in the base. A leaf was textured beginning at the crack and dye crimson alluding to new life. The stand is a piece of scuptured curly maple. The base was given a light coat of red umber translucent paint. The crimson dye was allowed to run down the valleys to give the allusion that the vase had leak and ran down the contoured base. Buffed with white diamond and wax. Vase is 5 by 8.5 inches and base is just under 8 by 12 inches.
