Sanded and finished with Velvet Oil to give a really nice feel. I told my wife it was a Baptist wine goblet. She said that it would hold too much for Baptists. She's right of course. Questions, comments, and critiques are always welcome. I look forward to seeing what you have to say about it.

9 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8911&title=spring-2010-c-amp-t-b&cat=662 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8911&title=spring-2010-c-amp-t-b&cat=662 Tue, 01 Jun 2010 04:39:33 +0000 Spring 2010 C&T (A)

by: Rev. This piece of wood came from a local tree which came down during one of the many storms that blew through our county over the past few years. Once turned it was hand sanded until a baby smooth surface was achieved. Three coats of Velvet Oil was applied, allowed to dry for 15-20 minutes and hand rubbed. This is one I can see being used to present a special ring to that once in a life time gal. As always, comments, critiques, and questions are welcomed. I look forward to hearing what you have to share about it.

7 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8910&title=spring-2010-c-amp-t-a&cat=662 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8910&title=spring-2010-c-amp-t-a&cat=662 Tue, 01 Jun 2010 04:32:33 +0000 Mystery Burl Vase

by: Frank Van Atta

Description}: Australian "Mystery Burl" vase - 5/8" tall x 1/2" diameter. It was the third attempt which makes it unique because I cast the pen blank and there is no more. Finished to 4000 with friction polish. The inside isn't as perfect as I would like but I got scared and didn't want to push my luck because that was when the first two attempts broke. It is more glossy than it looks, it lost a bit in the photo.

9 comments http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8902&title=polyester-resin-goblety-thing&cat=662 http://www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=8902&title=polyester-resin-goblety-thing&cat=662 Sun, 30 May 2010 18:55:43 +0000 Ice Cream Bowl & Scoop

by: Ed Weber

Description}: Walnut bowl & Maple scoop, finished with tung oil and Ren wax I made the scoop first and thought it looked lonely, so then I made the bowl.
