Walnut and Maple Tobacco Pipe

A friend of mine asked if I would make him a pipe. The bowl is Walnut and Maple with a Maple stem. The tamper is also Walnut and Maple. Finished with Tung Oil.

Neat Pipe Stephen. How in the world did you hollow the stem?

The draw hole was created by laminating five strips of maple with the center strip cut in half. I don't really smoke much myself but I have been told that my pipes do smoke good.
