This platter kind of gave me a run for my money. It had a ton (OK, half a ton) of sand, gravel and little rocks in most of the bark inclusions. I could only cut for about 3" before I had to reach for another tool, or re-sharpen. The contrast between the soft, and in places, punky wood made it a challenge to sand or cut. I even went through 1-1/2 Hunter carbide tips getting it done. Anyway, this is what came out of it.
It's 17.5" dia. and finished with Tung Oil and Beall buffed.
