Chris' Cherry Bowl

This is Chris' latest turning. His design also. Chris is 11 years old, and has been turning on and off for about a year. Wood is Black Cherry, finished with wipe on poly. In two weeks Chris will be bringing this to his first symposium for the instant gallery. (Totaly Turning in Albany, NY) All comments most welcome.

I wish I had been turning at 11~! Chris did a good job on this, I like the way he treated the transition from rim to inside, nice and smooth. Not a traditional form, but hey, he's a Ljostad, right? Wink

Fine looking bowl, Chris. The rim treatment is good, and a smooth finish too. Cherry is a nice wood to turn, and smells good.
