I have come to like the ogee shape that a lot of the English turners use on the bottoms of there platters and bowls. I tried to use it here. Looks like I got close, but I think it could be better. Not sure it was right for this piece anyway. The rim on the other side is thicker and I couldn't turn it thinner without loosing part of the natural edge. Maybe it was the shape of the burl. Also, if you turn the piece 90 degrees you can't see the ogee.
