Here's the first go at an ornament for the AAW project. The bowl is a round bottom bowl, 2 3/4" dia. x 1 1/4" deep, about 1/8" wall thickness. Turned a christmas tree and then cut it in half for the two inside. Painted the inside with acrylic paints, the outside is finished with satin lacquer finish. The bowl is HF maple and the trees are cherry. Drilled a small hole and then glued a piece of wire bent to have a hanging loop. Got the idea from the David Reed Smith tutorial I posted the other day, fast and fun. Smile

Cool, I like it. Quite out of the norm of what people think of when they hear turned Christmas ornament.

Thanks guys, it was fun and only took about 15 minutes to turn...definitely give it a try. I'm going to do one with a snowman in it too. Smile
