birdhouse ornament

This is my first ever birdhouse ornament, interesting little project these are, lots of pieces took longer than I thought it would. 2 1/2" tall x 2" diameter. The body is bloodwood, lid is figured, spalted maple, the perch and finial are zircote. The bloodwood is the same weird stuff that I used on my elevated challenge piece, it shines on the lathe then after just a little handling it's dull again, still smooth though. Must be sucking up the finish, may try sanding sealer or wax tomorrow.
