Very nice. You are going to have to share your process with us. How in the world do you get the middle layer so thin? Are you using a purchased vineer? Or, making it yourself? Inquiring minds want to know? 8)
I have an friend, Henry who is in his 80s, that specializes in thin exotic veneers. Henry had shown me some solid wood bracelets he turned about 35 years ago for his wife. He was upset because they had cracked. We where tossing ideas around on how to make them when I suggested that we should make "plywood" with some of his exotic wood. A few weeks later He gave me a NICE stack plywood to try out and this is what I came up with.
I made a couple of dozen of these last christmas. I gave a few to my daughters and a few to Henry for his wife. The rest I gave to my wife to keep or give out to her friends. These are the three she kept for herself.
