I don't know if there's such a thing as the perfect shape. But this is as close as it gets IMHO. The pedastal and finial have a great design with nice crisp details and the vessel shape and wood are great too. But it's one that has to be kept out of reach of the grandkids!
Wonderful piece of work Neal. Great finish, beautiful wood. I think that I would have made the base a bit wider to suit the width of the bowl, but it could be that the photograph has tended to baloon the bowl a bit. Congrats!
