The title should be pronounced pair-uh-bowl-uh, get it? Well at least I tried.
Mahogany pair of bowls custom ordered to balance each side of a fireplace mantle. 7-1/2" x 2-1/2", footed. Finished with 4 coats of BLO to bring out the "glow". Had to use the wax method 4 times to sand out the dull spots. Mahogany sure is notorious for the dull spots.

Looks like you done good. There sure are times when Mahogany wants to give one fits, but you tackled it and I'm betting that the customer will really enjoy them. Nice work.
BTW, is the grain in the bowl lying down situated about the same as the one up on its side? Just curious. 8-)
Thanks guys. The glow of mahogany is awesome, ain't it? I just wish those stubborn spots would cease to exist. It happens everytime I turn Mahogany.
Rev, not sure about the orientation, but I think they are inverse in the picture. I can say that the small ring you see in the left bowl was just about the same in the right bowl. Closest match I have ever made.
