I like your bowl, Larry. Good shape and nice clear wood. It is hard to tell what the finish is, but it appears very smooth.

Very nice job on the salad bowl. The so called experts are saying 12-14 inches is the ideal for these and you've split the difference well. From the picture that you've given us there is no tear-out or brusing, no chips, dings, or cracks. An absolutely lovely piece. Something for all of us to aim at.

By the way, what finish do you have on this piece, or are planning to put on it?
