Thanks, Rev. It is not a box, no. I was using a piece of mahogany left over form another project and fell into the trap of wanting to use all of the piece without regard to the shape. It started out like a stretched out version of the maple one and I had started hollowing it when I decided I didn't like the form and came up with the acorn shape instead. Fortunately I still had enough wall thickness to change it.
