Maple Bowl burnt rim

This is a maple bowl. I torched the rim and added some blue dye to the inside rim. The texture was put in with a Merlin tool with a chain saw blade.
A very fun project. It's 12" across and 3" deep. Finished with Tung Oil and Beall buffed on the bottom. Thanks for looking and all comments welcome, Don L.

Looks as though it has movement. Somewhat like a spinning fly saucer with the command center being stationary. Everything works for this piece. Your eyes are drawn from the outer edges to the center viewing the complete works.
