This is made from a polyester resin pen blank. It was the third attempt which makes it unique because I cast the pen blank and there is no more. Finished to 4000 with friction polish. The inside isn't as perfect as I would like but I got scared and didn't want to push my luck because that was when the first two attempts broke. It is more glossy than it looks, it lost a bit in the photo.
Thanks for the comments guys. Don, I'm colourblind too but I love the colours produced when mixing acrylics because the paints are all primary colours so every mix gives different results. This polyester resin gets a bit rubbery when thin so I had to support the outside with my finger while hollowing. Your finger gives a lovely finish, about 2000 grit I suppose.
