Lots of fun to turn. Walnut is pretty open grained so it caused a bit of worry from time to time. However, that small voice in the back of my head kept saying that it was time to sharpen. For once I listened and got the piece turned. Sanded about 5 different times; inside bowl, outside bowl, 3 times on the stem, and the base. I guess that makes 6. Was really fun to do. Enjoy!
