Natural Edge Russian Olive

This is a natural edge bowl from Russian olive. I pulled the bark off because bark tends to dull the tools and it was loose from all of the bug infestation. The up side is that the bugs left a nice lacy rim for me to show off. Instead of filling the voids, I picked out the loose material left behind to accentuate the perforations in the growth wood.

The finish is spray on lacquer.

I like everything about it..beautifully laid out and centered..I even like the "bottom heavy" look. I'd hate to have to give it away or sell it too.
