Red Cedar Box

This box was made of Red Cedar which had some bad cracks I aquired this tree a couple of years ago. The base of the finial is Pecan and the finial itself is Spalted Maple. I decided to stabilize the cracks with cyanoacrylate and traced them with my dremel. Thank you all for your advise on photographing small objects, this pic turned out much better than the last.

Love the look of cedar pieces. For what ever reason I find it to be like fire, or water falls. I just can't take my eyes off of it. Beautiful piece. 8^)

Love the piece, beautiful color, great shape, and the finial is nice also, but to me I think a black finial would look better.

Thank you for your comments, I find a lot of inspiration on this site. Mike, thank you for your insight on the finial color I agree black would be a good color on this piece.
