Go up to the grey ban under the goldish header.  There you will see a tab for "Profile."  Click there and you can make several adjustments and add a good bit of information to the website about yourself.   8)

As for the stars they denote your level of membership based on the # of postings you have made to this forum.  Your next step at four stars is WR God  and after that is WR addict.  Chris made up the names with a little input from us.  Also in that little gray bar is a heading for members.  YOu can click on it and see an entire listing of everyone who has registered at this site and how many posts they have made.
I just did a lisiting of the top 15 posters and topping the list is of course Chris, followed by me (believe it or not) and third is....

You will have to go look and find out.

...Me, who'd have thunk it.

It is interesting to look. not so much for how many postings folks have but how few. I would encourage all those out there with thoughts to chime in, there is something to be learned from everyone, I by no means am an expert, and learn a lot all the time.

I also think me and you spend a lot of time here with the crazy hours we work.  We get bored (sometimes) and need to do something so we post stuff.  Like now.

It's all those little silly postings  Grin
What gets me is that you all not only post a lot, but you also get a lot of turning done.  What's up with that?  Where do all the hours come from?   8)

The number of replies changes on all posts every time you submit one.  They should all say 893 now.   8)
