Wife's turning party
Nov 2nd, 2005 at 7:53pm

My wife says I have to much turned stuff so she is having a turning party (kind of like a tuperware party but wood).

Should be interesting she says 15 to 20 people will be over in a three hour period on Saturday.  I have not sold a single piece yet unless you count the cup for a Blueberry Cheescake, I thought that was a great deal though, but have only been turning since June.

Well we will see how it goes, a friend of mine wants to have a party for me as well, we will see how this goes first.

I believe your wife has a fantastic idea. Let us know the results of your wife's efforts. 8)

Hummmm! Perhaps I'll put a "bug" in Arleen's ear.

I like that idea, these party things seem like an infection around our neighborhood.

In Yakima, Washington.

Your welcome to come, just don't bring any of your turnings. (I'm a beginner and your stuff would make me look bad). Wink

Thats a decent haul Dude, I would not complain.  I have done two day arts and craft fairs that I didn't take in near that much.

Give it to her! Wink
Nothing is worse to a turning habit than an unhappy wife. Consider it rent on the wood shop Grin

Give her the whole $200 if that will bank enough chips for you to purchase tools later.   8)

Consider yourself luck that she only wants half. Mine would have been the cashier and I wouldn't have seen a dime. Wink
Congratulations on selling your work. That's gotta make you feel pretty good.
