Problems accessing the site this week?
Sep 30th, 2015 at 9:32am

It has been brought to my attention that some people are having problems accessing this site this week. I'm trying to narrow down whats going on.

So far there are:
2 people on Apple mobile devices
    1 Nook
    1 Apple desktop

I've tested the site on
    3 different Android devices
    3 PCs
    3 Different browsers
         FireFox
         Internet Explorer
         Chrome
All without any problems

If anyone is having problems and would like to add to the list please post here or email me. My email is on the bottom of each page.

Thank You

Hi Ron... After reading your post here, I decided to try coming in on Firefox and....

TA-DAAA!!! Here I am!!!

SO!!! I think it helps narrow it down to something Safari is causing. At least on MY computer.  Thumbs Up

Not sure WHAT it is doing as it only started the other day. But then I'm a mere muggle.

Still having problems with Apple products (Ipad, Iphone). I can log on, bit can't post or PM. My User CP (Control panel) lists my user name, no avatar, no messages, and my status as WR Noob. Time stamps on other member posts are screwed up as well. This may be an issue due  to upgrading my software with Apple.  Angry
When I log on with my PC, everything is totally normal.  Smiley

I pretty much isolated the problem and it only affects Safari users. So until some new code can be written my best answer for now is to use either FireFox, Chrome, iExplorer or Seamonkey.

I'm hoping the code will be updated within a week. (Fingers Crossed)

PS. I'm not sure how Nook fits into this, unless it uses a version of Safari, but that is only a guess for now.

Hi - I'm Dandello from YaBB support - The problem seems specific to the Safari Browser (on Win PCs AND Apple devices). MSIE, FireFox and Chrome do not seem to be affected. This problem does not appear on basic 2.5.2 installs on other servers. We are still looking into what might be causing the problem and solutions.

Dandello... Is it OS specific?

I had no problem while I was still at 10.6.8 then started having problems shortly after moving on up to 10.10.3 then backing down to 10.10.2.... which in itself screwed up other things.

I DIDNT do it!! I had some one who should have known do it. (paid him, too!)  I now have to clean up his mess.

Would like to know which OS all of the Mac people on here having these problems are using.

It's not OS specific. I get the error in Win7 running Safari.
MSIE's Developer tools point to a javascript issue with ubbc.js but I doubt this is the problem.

Ralph, its just coincidence that problem we are having matched up with the time you made the upgrade.

Like Dandello I installed Safari on a Win7 machine and have this problem too.

Chris, I removed the patches I installed so if you are still having problems I would suggest that you restart firefox and or restart your computer.

After much delving into code and cookies, we appear to have a patch that works.

@Chris - I noticed the bad cursor behavior in FireFox and Safari. It appears to be okay now.

I too had problems earlier this week.  Both iPhone 6 and  PC desktops--wanted to notify but got same message when I tried to come in from the web.  Glad it's fixed.
