I believe so but does anyone know for certain whether or not the jaws for these two chucks are interchangeable?  thanks...John

I'm on the same page, I believe they're the same. When they updated from the original to the II, I don't think the jaw slides were changed. You may need to send them an email.

I may be mistaken, and often am, but was not one of Nova’s advertised selling points interchangable jaws throughtout the product line?

They are interchangable.  I have both SN's and SN2.  And Chris is correct all jaws are interchangable but some chuck should not be use with some jaws.
The minichuck is fairly restrictive but the G3 is OK will all but the Powergrips and 130's.  It just takes a stouter body to withstand greater potential forces.

BTW, I do think the jaw slides were changed but not the position the jaws mount to.  Changes underneath to a different "key" pattern when they went to the hex style rather than jacobs style chuck key.

That's what I was referring to not the pinion gear or scroll ring, I didn't think they weren't relevant. to the OP's question.
