This seems to be the question to ask when ther's something different but you're not sure what it is.
So, what's different, what turning tools, methods, wood or products are you using this year that you weren't a year ago? Did you get a new lathe, a new gouge, a new stash of wood, or find a different method of finishing.

I bought a McNaughton coring set. Haven't used it yet. Need to ream out my banjo to 1 inch. Got a Grizzly. Oh, have a CBN wheel also.

I also bought another grinder motor.. a 1hp Rikon with some finer grit CBN wheels as well as another motor to dedicate to a Beale buffing station.

Both sit on the work table, not set up yet..waiting for after xmas framing season so I have time to figure out where they will go.

REALLY need to work ON the shop as well as IN the shop!!

I made a center finder.  I make  wooden spinning tops for Christmas.  Cheap stocking stuffers.   The center isn't always at the pith.  This tool saves time  finding center of not so round branches, which i use to make tops.
