My problem ended up being a bad connector on the battery.  I had to basically tear off my balck plastic battery case to get to it but after I replaced the connector with one I found on an old charger I had in a box it worked great.  Trend is now back online  Smiley.

Well, my 2 cents was already said. Got mine at Osolnik and they replaced the defective battery with no questions.

Mine came today.  I ordered it late Friday afternoon from AllPro.  They processed and shipped the order Monday, and UPS ground delivered in less than 48 hours.  Battery is charging so I can try it out tomorrow, with that Purpleheart I've got.  Then the Walnut.

I will probably check with the battery place next week to see if they can duplicate it.

Friday I'm helping to take down 2-3 Osage Orange trees.  Yes I get first dibbs on the wood. 8)

I am sure you will love it Jim.  As soon as I can I am also going to go to a battery store and see if they can make me a new set of them.
I am also jealous about the osage orange trees.

Shockedtrees ShockedI remember those.

It is very useful to have a second battery.

Used the shield today turning some old Walnut.  Loved it until the temps got back over 100 out there.

I had just the opposite problem last night Jim, it was really cool outside and after an hour or so my nose was freezing and starting to run from the cold.

Anybody with the problem with Airshield batteries not staying plugged into the charger;  Contact Terry Cole with Trend-USA at 270-872-4674.  Just leave him a message and he will call you back.  I just talked to him on the phone again today.  They had a problem with a new battery supplier when they shifted from Ni-Cad's to NiMH.  A lot of defective battery packs may still be out there, and they are trying to make good on them.  Replacement cost will depend on how long you have had the Airshield.  If it is fairly new....Free, like mine.

Hey Turners!

I got my Triton at the Overland Park Symposium from Klingspor this summer for 214.  Best price on any of these types.

This morning I notice the Craft Supply has it as a front page special for 199.

In regard to the battery problem.  If you have a NiMH battery with a light colored label with black lettering, it is one of the defective ones and eligible for replacement.  If it has a black label with light lettering, it is one of the new ones, and they work great.

Yup, both of mine are the bad ones. A bit of work with a soldering gun and the world is fine again.
