These are two different approaches to cutting segments, comparing the two sleds is like apples and oranges.

The "Wedgie sled" works very well for basic (and some advanced) segmenting.

The ME is a precision miter sled, it can be converted into a wedgie sled in minutes, by simply adding another fence.

It all depends on your personal preference.

As I mentioned, the Incra ME is a precision miter sled that can be use for many things. The accuracy and repeat-ability are key features. You can cut segments of any angle (depending on what miter gauge you use) with the single fence. If you want to add a second fence to mimic a "wedgie" sled it's quite simple. (see photo)
IMO, There are advantages as well to this.
One sled instead of two, repeatable known skew angle, fine adjustment of runner and miter gauge.
For myself, I have owned a ME for years before the "wedgie" sled came out, so it was only natural for me to use what I already had been using and only convert if needed or wanted.
It also greatly depends on your style of segmented work.
My ME had been heavily modified over the years.

Remember, you need to add your own miter gauge or buy one with a combo, the ME is just the sled hardware.

This turns the sled into a miter sled, so that you can fix the angle of cut where ever you need to, using any miter gauge.

I would put the $70 towards an Incra miter gauge and you won't have to fuss with anything.
IMO, Faster and easier. Also you can get an Incra miter gauge that has positive stops at every single degree, ( plus a vernier scale for 10th's) not just those that create a particular number of segments.

You purchase whatever you like, I'm just trying to point out things that aren't always obvious.
Miter gauges are sometimes like saw blades, the one that come with the tool are not that good, there are exceptions.
