I created this one last spring. The basic shape was inspired by piece Joanne from Canadian Woodworking forum did.It is finished with a copper patina, a green dye, and Lichtenberg etching

Nicely done.

It looks like the same one Tim Yoder did a few years ago.  He called it a Roman Canteen and I have the DVD and I like his DVDs and YouTube videos.

Do you have a picture you could post, or link to a youtube video? I would love to see his.

Thanks, Arlin, interesting for sure.Done quite a bit different and smaller than mine.I first made a thick segmented ring, faced on one side with a solid piece, then hollowed out as much as can be, with another solid piece then attached to the other side. The Vase neck is a separate piece glued in.Mine is not intended to hold liquid, more ornamental or for dried flowers.
