Long Weekend
Sep 3rd, 2018 at 11:35am

Most people are fortunate enough to get a bit of an extended weekend over Labor Day.
Did you take any of the extra time to turn something, if so what are you working on.

QOTW
What turning related activities did you do over the Labor Day holiday?

Chickens...... the mrs said she wanted more babies, chicks don’t cost much and I can take the boys to the auction when they grow up and get “free” eggs from the hens.

Helped my wifes bro.  build little wood race cars. I turned the headlights for one, the radiator cap for another, eyes for the one that resembles a whale and then spent some time burning the radials for a 11 in. basket illusion.  That is a slow process.

Do a google search for "sand shading", it's a marquetry technique.
