I have been looking for one more lathe for my shop and teaching. I would snap that up. Excellent lathe with good resale value. It looks clean too.

Thank you for your opinion. I wanted to get it today but the banks are closed. I use to carry that much money just for occasions like this. Since I got old "78" I quit doing it.

I didn't think they would let you have that much money. "$2850.00"

If it's not too far away, you might want to give him a deposit to hold it for you so you don't lose the sale to someone else

I cannot reach CL through work but if this is the Powermatic 3520b that's also on FB Marketplace I think it's a good deal...especially with all of the accessories.  If THIS ISN'T the same lathe...check out this Powermatic for sale in Cadiz KY.

I went to see the lathe yesterday and it looks great. It's about 80 miles to his house. I put some money down on the lathe and I am going back to get it this weekend. It has been a long time since I have been that far away from home and I was tired "Neurotherapy"

May I suggest buying an engine hoist?

When I got my 3520, I got the hoist and my "guys" lifted the body of the lathe and then let it hang while they put the legs on and then rolled it over to where I wanted it and set it down.

Afterwards, I donated the hoist to the local high school for their auto class.

Amazon has one exactly like mine for around $45.00.

I looked all thru Amazon and I could not find it. Can you post a link?

That is a brilliant idea on 'both ends'.  Less chance of getting hurt on the front end and the local high school is the beneficiary on the back end.  I've never priced an engine hoist but that surely is $45 well spent relative to what it can do and protect.

a 3520 is very heavy.  I used a com-a-long and chained it to the rafters to lift mine. Now I'm thinking of making a hoist like was shown on here using scissor jacks to be able to move mine around.
