Mr. Clewes demonstrates turning at speeds some find unsafe

This is true for many of his demonstrations.
His earlier videos, teaching videos, he discusses such things.
Not all the "informative" content can be found on YouTube
example, Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register
I personally like the camera work, where you can actually see what part of the cutting edge is supposed to do what.

I like watching Bob Hamilton (old member/deceased) He would place his hand inside a bowl over the tool rest to check the thickness. This is something I find unsafe. But we have his videos in TPT.
ONE MUST EVALUATE WHATIS SAFE FOR THEM.

Thanks for the reminder Glenn,  I enjoyed tremendously the videos Bob Hamilton made, and found them very educational.  I will have to find time to start watching them again.

I turn all of the bowls I can round on my bandsaw before they go on the lathe. It saves this old rookie a lot of time.
