Richard Raffan demonstrates creating a verdigris patina on a turned bowl. and shows examples of a similar rust patina, but it seems the product line of thick paints and oxidizing patina he uses is available only in Australia.

Anyone have similar experience/results using products available in the United States?

Crafts Supplies USA   (woodturnerscatalog.com)   carries the Modern Masters Metal effects paints.   They have copper (green), bronze (more blue-ish)  and rust.    I bought copper and rust at Hobby Lobby several years ago.  HL had all 3 components in one box where CSU you order each step individually.

This is a remembrance urn I did recently using the rust patina.  I tried it on a bowl once and thought it just looked grody.
