David Hamann WR Administrator WR Patron Offline papadave Posts: 5,710 Pasco WA Washington USA Gender:	Re: Toy box Reply #5 - Sep 12^th, 2009 at 11:07pm sorry, ex got all the pics before i could grab some. as i recall, i used butt joints with the corners reinforced with 2x2's. at that time, i had only a skill saw and a hand drill and borrowed a jig saw. used 3/4" plywood, no top, and the back was higher then the sides and front with some scroll work on the top. painted pink.

What kind of hindges and shocks would be used the for the cover so it doesn't slam down on little fingers?

Back in my day the covers were very heavy and no safty devices. You learned real quick where not to put you fingers. Once you got the lid smacked on your head you also knew that maybe you should hold the cover when you put your head inside.
