Here is my wood gloat.
Well I wish it were my wood!
For those who know Olneya Tesota is our beloved Desert Ironwood.
So named because it is dense like iron.

Well less than 2 miles from my house is the biggest Ironwood I've ever seen! Shocked Cheesy

It was worth getting stung by the bees that had their home in this ones neighbor, while taking these pictures!

Before taking a small sample one must consider that Ironwood can weigh up to 66 lbs  per cubic foot Embarrassed

I estimate the main trunk, before it splits off, is about 38" in diameter! 0.o o.0

Awesome Tom, I've got to try the ironwood sometime. I've seen some on the internet and very impressive colors indeed. Thanks for the post,nothing like that in my part of Ohio for sure.
