Hollowing System

Looking for advice on which hollowing system to buy.
Turn on PM 3520B.
Appreciate thoughts and comments.

My first thought. Post your location. Maybe one of use lives near enough to let you have time with theirs.
I have several types. 
Next how large and deep do you think you'd like to hollow ?  You can do ornaments with just an Allen wrench and a pair of locking pliers.  You'll find a proper handle makes this more fun.

Figuring about 12 - 14 inches deep.  Adaptability to increase depth later might be a buying factor.

The reason I want to know is there might be a member close by you that has hollowing tools you could see and try for free.

I just saw him do a demo at the event in Saratoga Springs this last weekend and his system is simple and easy to use.

This is my opinion based on sitting in the front row watching him hollow out a vessel in no time!
I wish i had more money to pull the trigger  but it is  still winter in Maine so money is scarce right now.


That being said, I DID splurge for a nice piece of Mesquite and a tool rest that allows me to get further into a piece.!!

I said money was scarce in Maine...but not extinct!!! Smiley Smiley

I spend three days using Trent Bosch's stabilizer system last summer, great well built tool that is simple to setup and use.. I have the monster articulating hollow  works great and have had no problems with it. But I like Trents better.  IMO.
