I saw a gear shift somewhere and I can't find who made the project kit. Can someone steer me in the right direction.?

After doing a google search for gear shift knob kit, I found over 25 million hits.   Here's one...  Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

It's not a turning company but the adapter you would need for the shaft.

There is no need for a kit.
Find the thread size of the knob or shifter you want to use, get a threaded insert or piece of threaded rod which ever is appropriate.
Threaded inserts can be found just about anywhere with a range of sizes, quality and materials. Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register
If it's actually going to be used in a vehicle, I would go with Stainless steel or at least plated, brass may be too soft.
