Thanks to Ron for getting the site back up and running.   I have a question.  Since the latest upgrade/fix I have to log in every morning.  I've selected "for keeps" option, but every morning it's back to needing to relog in.   Not a big deal, but just bringing it up in case it's not my computer.

THanks!

Has your browser upgdated in the last little while, it may be clearing out cache and logins every day.
I would suggest checking the settings there but if it persists, Ron may have more insight

It was that darn s in.  For some reason the un s version autofills when I open the page.  Time to defy SWMBO and clear all the cookies and cache.  (Oh don't do that then I'll have to reenter everything when I get online....) LOL

Thanks guys!

If I understand you correctly you need to use http to automatically login?

I need to use httpS to automatically login.

Which browser are you using?

Oh no Ron.  when I typed in woodturnersresource.com Chrome defaulted to the unsecure http, thus causing me to login every morning.   When I typed in the https and the rest of the name, I was logged in and every thing was good.

When I go to the forum homepage, I always get the message that says "Welcome, Guest. Please Login or Register"  So I click 'login', fill in the blanks, and the site tells me that I'm already logged in.

When I click on a post, the site recognizes me as a logged-in member, but if I then return to the home page, I'm treated as a guest.

So it seems that something is flakey on the home page.

I've noticed this with Firefox, but not with Chrome.

Cookies are where your login is stored

For some reason FireFox is ether clearing your cookies or not storing then when you move from a thread back to the homepage.

My guess is FireFox is reloading the old page data instead of updating it when you move back to the page. Try refreshing the home page either before and/or after you log in to see which works.
